I'm Unstoppable

They took me by the hand to the Land of Dreams,

I was young and naive, all I knew was that everyone said everything was better in the U S of A.

The years quickly passed by, years where everything was fine, everything was good.

Little did I know things would take a dark and hurtful turn.

Junior year of highschool, all the excitement of college and becoming adults..it finally hit me.

I couldn't go to college, I couldn't join the military, I couldn't drive a car. I was done.

Where would my life go now? Everything good was turning sour, all my hopes and dreams were being crushed.

Don't go to school, go back to your country. Don't waste your time, go back to your country.

These were the words from family and friends, these were the words that drove the knife deeper into my heart.

After months of hurt, after months of sadness, I said NO MORE. I will not give up.

This is my country, this is my life, I will not go back to my old life.

I am unstoppable, like a bull with a red flag in sight. Like a snipper with a lock on it's target.

I am unstoppable.

The law says I can't, but I say why not?

Honor roll student, JROTC cadet, NC Scholar, Leader, Mentor, student, hard worker. Why stop me now?

I am unstoppable.

My journey took a sour turn, but this is not the end. I AM AMERICAN. I AM A FIGHTER. UNDOCUMENTED AND UNFRAID.I AM UNSTOPPABLE.
