Im a Woman and Thats Me

From the time I come in this world till the day I die

It would be a dream, better yet a fantasy to never see another woman cry

From the pain, the tears, the hurt and sorrow

Their hearts tear apart for the joy they think won't come tomorrow

Be real,be true, and stand up for yourself everyday

Don't never ever let a man take your pride away

Because out in the world you go non stop: work, work, and more, work

How dare you let a man walk in your house or step in your space treating you like some dirt

Always show respect for yourself and others

Because in the future you may be the one to become a mother

Out there in the streets you may find it hard

But stay on top and don't give in. Don't listen to silly fortune cards

A woman's life begins at the age of sixteen

You start to mature, look at boys and waiting to be seen

But don't wait and waste your time looking for the right one

Sooner or later one will ask you out, your time will come

Relations aren't always perfect and thats a fact

Your man may start to turn away and be slack

But when that happens just remind him

That he'll never find another woman, not Kacey or his ex Kim

If he gets mad and starts to fuss

Just remind him who he's talking to and I dare he won't cuss

It would be a dream to never see another woman cry

So if he hits you one little time, don't let him off so easy telling me he didn't because thats a lie

One hit,one touch, one slap on me and thats it

I will turn around and take action, I'll never sit

Big and bold he was today

Just wait for tonight to come your way

I will be a woman, stand up, and take my ground

Because I will never let a man take me down

You ask me if I need help but this is my war

I'm a independent woman, I'll fight my battle and then walk out the door

Nevertheless I'm always on top

I strive to achieve and I'll never stop

I'll work my way to the front of the line

Be the best I can be and let nothing turn me away or leave me behing

When I get to where I want to be

I'll Have you know that

I'm A Woman And Thats Me
