I'm a writer.

Take a second to laugh

Because a second is all you're going to get.

After all, I live in the realm of impossibilites and color and dreams

While you are stuck in a world of norms and expectations. How boring.

I'll be off creating a vast universe out of thin air.

I'll be journeying across the mountains I build from the ground up and the trail I made from scratch with the people born from my thoughts alone.

I'll be shouldering their fears and reveling in their successes and sharing their relief when they finally achieve their happy ending.

While you're stuck in your nine-to-five, in your suits and ties, and wondering when adventure will pop into your life to simply say hello.

I'm a writer.

I may not have many zeroes in my bank account.

I may not be one of the "big names."

I may even spend my entire day in front of an open office document only to stare at a blank page.

But who cares?

I don't need many zeroes following that one to my name.

My name doesn't need to be written in the stars and I don't need to stand in the limelight.

And I know inspiration isn't common in your career, but when it hits me, it knocks me out before placing me back on my feet to trail-blaze across the keyboard.

I'm a writer.

Like a doctor, but without the degree, I can save a person's life.

Like an architect, but without the heavy tools, I can build a world with nothing but a paper and a pencil. Sometimes, it only needs a passing thought.

Like a lawyer, but without the fancy suits, I stand up for the little guys.

Like a hero, but without the cape, I can be an inspiration.

I am a dreamer.

I am a savior.

I am a believer.

I'm a creator.

I'm a designer.

I'm a builder.

I am free.

I'm a writer.

And there's nothing else I'd rather be.
