The Image

A country so exuberent, and driven by its fight for equality

neglects to practice it within its own body

she has many faces and shades, sizes and voices,

many hearts and minds, yet such a colorful array of society has been

dried to black and white despite our choices.

many years spent to lay  and seal the base idea of unity.

only to be washed away by the hands of prejudice duty.

If one thing were to change, it would be to ban both black, white, yellow,

red, and any solid color within these parts

because no one color can symbolize the world's heart

End racial discrimination, and practice what we preach

or else this "free" land the world must impeach.
