Imagination
I wonder what it feels like to drown in the sky
Dancing above the rooftops
Watching time fly by
Inhaling all the clouds
If I had a breath to breathe it’d rip it from my lungs
As I sank closer to the stars
Then crying a thunderstorm
I’d bundle up the dusky clouds to keep me warm
Lighting the darkness with the fire in my starry eyes
Oh how I dream
I wonder what it feels like to sleep on the surf
Drawing up the ocean carpet
And tucking myself in with the tide
Imagining I’m a grain of sand
Surrounded by a million friends
Yet I know every one of them by name
The crystal sea
Creeps across to float me to the deep
I’d find a new home in blue shadows
Oh how I dream
