Imagination

A tree can be a rocket, you know

And a turtle can be a race car

The sun can cease to glow

To be a ball in a jar

What is this power that I possess

To manipulate nature at my fingertips?

It is imagination, if you can guess,

With this I can create the world through my lips

This power of spontaneous creation

gives way to plays, books, and fantasies

Wild, course, lovey emotions

come alive with a sense of ecstasy

Who can live without imagination?

Not I, I can assure you

It's an old human temptation

that holds humanity, the glue

Without it, sunlight is grey

Life tastes of no meaning

Nature's flora and fauna are clay

Nothing of mindful teasing

But with it, the mountains speak of revolutions

The waves perform symphonies

Birds discover truths on expeditons

Flowers have breakfast at Tiffany's

We humans are the audience and the creators

of these stimulus scenes

Influencing others and becoming teachers

Of meanings found in all things

What else can be found by imagination?

Love, life, laughter,

Forgiveness, redemption, salvation

The possibilities are endless to gather

When a tree can be a rocket

We are happy and full

For the world lives in our pockets

And with imagination we can rebuild
