Imagination

Sometimes I hate my imagination

The train always leaves the station

Little sparks of hope awaken

But the truth hurts and I'm shaken

Each time even though reality

Has always been so dear to me

Those pretty little thoughts slither

Into my mind and they hinder

My ability to think straight

Then suddenly I can't wait

For a future that is not mine

‘Cause it's not all rainbows and sunshine

But I can't help my fixation

Sometimes I hate my imagination.
