Imitations of a Narrative

So I

Sit and wait with trains passsing overhead.

Usually, I'm the one on the train

But today, I await a bus.

So I pace as I wait.

Waiting on the bus that never came until a

Seat opened on a bench and I sat.

Writing a poem in my notpad

Surrounded by eyes

yet not feeling watched and still overlooked as I

glanced up momentarily from this cellphone.

Listening to the train mum.

Looking for the

Bus that never came

Feeling oddly safe as I mimicked a narrative.

Telling the tale as it happened.

 Passing time until it came.
