Immaculate Misconception of the World's Last Lie
Ignorance,
It allows us to fly
and while we touch the stars and pollute the sky,
Indifference's caress holds us high.
The kiss-a flame that takes the wax off our wings
Arrogance grates morality.
It chips,
falling like snow from the soul.
Religion holds,
A glue meant to mend
A sword, a crutch, a shield.
We mold instead of heal,
use words as blades and sugar-coat the lies,
killing people like flies.
We soar, a constant high.
Welcome to mankind's low.
