Immediately Temporary
The immediate feeling is sharp, grating through the layers of cells.
The surrounding feeling is beneath the skin, tingling.
The color is deep, red, beautiful.
The life sustaining substance presses through, escaping in a way I can't.
The pool forms upon the bed of cells, collecting and binding.
The result, pleasant, with just enough stinging.
The first layer is wiped away, a new one takes its place.
The time passes, covered over with fresh young cells.
The new ones are pale, standing out from the rest.
The urge resurfaces, the relief has faded and needs re-awakening.
The immediate feeling is sharp, grating through the layers of cells.
The surrounding feeling is beneath the skin, tingling.
The color is deep, red, beautiful.
