Immigrant

Immigrant that cross horizons and borders,

You look forward to life with hopes and dreams,

you go on in life looking to surpass every obstacle to reach the success that in your country did not obtain.

Why do they judge you immigrant if all you did was to go around the world to find your dreams.

Carrying with you only the passport with the creator's visa.

Why do they look at you like a criminal,

if the only mistake you made was to dream of a better future.

Immigrant that had to struggle with your life to achieve your dreams.

Immigrant that inspire to explore the world with your strength and courage

you go through life working night and day sweating the sweat of your forehead.

Immigrant why are you depressed in solitude,

Why do you drown in a sea of weeping,

Why is it that society does not look at you as a warrior who has suffered and has managed to surpass the tests that life has given you.

Immigrant that often wonder why you had to face

So many adversities and

you want to escape because instead of finding support you find a rejection.

Immigrant why is it that you are despised by your accent,

And for not having a document that proves that you are resident.

Why do you feel inferior, if you have been created with the same characteristics and

rights of others.

Why can’t they  understand you instead of isolating you,

Immigrant why instead of finding peace

you find war.

why instead of finding an open door

you find it closed.

why instead of quenching your thirst with water

they let you die in the desert.

Immigrant why do  they humiliate you so much if you're just like them.

Why is it that they close their minds to know you.

Why do they trap you in a dark labyrinth without an exit.

Immigrant why do they make fun of you and criticize you,

as if you were a stranger.

why instead of helping you find a solution

they stuck you in a swamp to sink you.

Immigrant even though they destroy your dreams,

and your strength weaken

Never forget that you are a warrior who has surpassed every difficulty that life has put  in your path.

Never forget that just as they have rejected you

Others stretched out their hand and rescued you.

Immigrant never forget that in life you will find rosebushes

but also with many thorns that will hurt you

to the depths of your soul.

But no matter what you go through

never

leave your hopes and dreams

because remember

that's what makes you who you are

a warrior who has left everything to find a better future.
