Immortal
When the lights shut off and I lay down forever, forgetting my name will be a difficult endeavor. You didn't think I'd pull through, just another face in the crowd. Shrouded in self doubt, fucking sick of this shit, oh sorry, forgot swearing isn't aloud. Lonely as a recluse, venom makes me sick from all of the scholarly abuse. No use in yelling, dust your destructive mentality off my psyche. Aw fuck, who am I kidding.
One year later, your words left my heart descrated. You should feel happy. Thanks to you, I lost my drive, goals, started not giving a fuck, copping a negative attitude. You'd love it if you saw me now. My life's in shambles with nothing to keep me going. Fell through the brambles and briars, I just kept rolling and rolling.
Two years have passed, and I believe a fuck you is in order. My motivation did a 180. I realized I don't need to get mind fucked by a bitch ass lady. So your an educator, let me educate you. I found my idol, he believed in me, breathed new life in me. I've undergone a rebirth, out of the cocoon I fly. My legacy will define me, and if I'm still alive in memory, I'll never die.
It's three years later, the hate still hasn't faded. An apology still hasn't come, guess it's a little belated. I proved you wrong, looks like I'm going places. Just accepted to Pitt, want to be a surgeon, looks like I'm off to the races. Fell to the bottom and rose to the top in the end, a hard knock life I've led like where Annie began. So when I breathe my last breath, is it really my last? I'll be remembered forever like my legacy I've left in the past.
