Immortal

When at peace the soul endeavors

But always slow the body rots

Nobody can survive forever

Matters not how strong or clever

Outlive time and death you’ll not, but

When at peace the soul endeavors

Primal instincts you must sever

They make you blind and fear the lot

Nobody can survive forever

Live life not for sake of living

Unimpressed, Life’s unforgiving

When at peace the soul endeavors

Protect your mind from fear’s levers

You can’t lose the one thing you got

Nobody can survive forever

Your spirit can never fester

But fearing death, you’ve got no shot

When at peace the soul endeavors

Nobody can survive forever.
