immortal beings
Immortal beings
(A Poem dedicated to our brave jawans martyred in terrorist attacks)
-Rachit Bhavsar
Oh great defenders of my nation
You are great warriors of my land
Protecting its every length and breadth
You gave your all for its very best.
Guns and war your very delight
The nation stands tall at sky’s height
Days and night spent in enemy’s fight
Nation’s peace your solemn right.
A nation sleeps you remain awake
In the fearful nights of enemy’s toil
Braving cold winds and the mighty floods
You make the enemy fear in plight.
Standing at the borders sea and in the air
Your voice unites one and all
You fall down and lay your lives
To keep our flag flying high
In the skies of tommorow’s rising dawn
The dawn of prosperity for one and all.
Turmoil and sacrifice thee not go in vain
Call of bravehearts heard far and wide
In the dust of the mountain s and flow of the rivers
Standing tall glaciers echoing your glory
Voice of the cuckoo singing hymns of courage
Rising sun breaking the silence of the night
My nation embarks on its journey again.
Oh almighty I pray for thee
Bless those immortal souls who laid their wreath
Their only cause being nation’s pride
For they shall be tommorow’s guiding light
I bow to thee with head held high
Immortal souls shining like stars in the sky.
