Impatient Inhibition

Like a car engine being revved up yet not unleashed on the road, I am waiting. Like a cheetah waiting to pounce yet held back by a change in the wind, I am waiting. Like a hero reaching the final stages of battle, yet helpless with a wound, I am waiting. Like reaching a climax yet unable to release it, I am waiting. Like a plane going through turbulence yet unable to find its balance, I am waiting. Like the sun being hid behind clouds yet barely peeking through, I am waiting. Like a writer, Like a student, Like a parent, Like a teacher, Like someone whose inhibitions are at the breaking point, I am getting tired of waiting.
