Imperfect

They are some that say that we, ourselves, are not perfect…
I don’t know why some believe they are in this paper world.
There are some who hurt themselves for not being flawless…
I don’t know why they go to great lengths to a utopian idea.

To what extent is there to be something as small as that idea?
What can be achieved to try and attempt to run up such asymptote?
We can get as close as we can; but we only get further from the goal;
But yet, we’re only so far from where we started.

Now we’re nowhere and far from where we started,
The site of where we step foot from is long gone from the naked eye,
The sight is clearly there, but nothing can be done…
But something can be done from where we stand now.

Everyone had seen the bad of things, but also seen the good of life;
But maybe no two virtues have ever been the same.
We should speak what good there was in us toward one another
To have it known to have the feeling that may never be in us.

We should speak the bad there was in us toward one another
So that others don’t have to go through the same road.
It was bad enough for one to go through that pathway;
But worse seeing more following through to the guide.

The sight is clearly there, even if we can’t ever reach it;
But we can’t have it hold us down from who we are.
We stand here and now we must move on from this paper world
Because that is all that can be done.

We need to accept who we already are, and now what we want to be.
We are more than something that can never be achieved.
If what is you read here is not enough to have you convinced,
Then try to sit back, drink a Coke, and think for the while.
