Imperfectly Beautiful

I’d like to say I’m perfect

That this body holds no flaws

That it carries no imperfections

But I’d rather say I’m beautiful

That this body is sprinkled with flaws

That it’s stitched of imperfections

I am beautiful

My imperfections making this body perfectly beautiful

With no filters

No editing

No manipulation

I am purely beautiful

I can now say I’m perfect

I have learned perfection is the product of the imperfect

When they can finally say,

“I am beautiful.”

I am imperfectly beautiful.
