Imperfectly Flawless
I am not flawless because of my makeup
or because of the way I can deal with a break up.
I am not flawless at all you see,
I am imperfect as imperfect can be
I cry a good bit and my hair isn't smooth
And my skin is never as clear as I'd like it to look
And I try to be sweet but sometimes I get mean
When others don't see things the way that I see
I'm not the most balanced or the most lovely
And I'm not the best at anything, really
But one thing I've tried to keep in my mind
Is that somebody loves me for me all the time
Because of my frizzy hair and blemished face
And my temper and teary eyes
I look at myself and I see my flaws
And its important to recognize
That although you aren't perfect, nobody is so
And although things don't go the way you want them to go
You're beautifully flawed and ungraceful
You're not only that, but you're inspirational
When you can see all the things that are wrong with yourself
But accept your flaws and still love yourself
Because you are as beautiful as beautifuyl gets
When you understand you're imperfectly flawless.
