Imperfectly Me

I'm not perfect,

Far from it actually.

My thighs are too big,

My butt too wide.

I'm insecure,

Brutally honest,

and painfully shy.

I feel inferior to beautiful women around me,

With perfect bodies,

and perfect hair.

I feel lonely,

Even with loved ones near.

I'm not a genius,

I'm not mindblowingly smart.

I'm not an artist,

or musician,

or even a writer.

But I shouldn't feel this way,

For I am ME.

Imperfectly ME.
