Imperfectly Me
Behind filters, this is what you see:
A girl with confidence, not one of incompetence
A person, like any other, stereotyped and judged, but not letting my opinions budge
I am willing to speak my mind, unafraid of the facade I might hide behind
I stand up for what I believe, the greatness I can achieve
A girl with a slight temper, but stays calm to remember
A lover of all things outdoors, open to trying any new activities of yours
I strive for the best, sometimes without rest
But I work hard to prove only to myself, and not to anyone else
A state competitive swimmer, who's enthusiasm cannot be simmered
A girl with a serious sweet tooth, and that’s the truth.
Behind these filters
You may see
Some things you wish no one to be
But most all of all behind these filters you will see
Parts of me no one knows
Parts of me I do not show
But these are the parts that make me perfectly imperfect on the surface.
