To impress

I'll spin you a song of pretty things,
of angels dust and fairy wings,
of all the very lovely things,
That make a girl smile,
But I doubt you'd listen to such a thing,
You'd rather I told you tales of glorious deeds,
Of all the things I handled so smoothly,
And if I told you I took no pride in that,
Instead my joys were of a sweeter path,
Would you even take the time,
To read the rhymes,
I've so craftily composed,
--For you.
