In Between Yesterday And Tomorrow

CC BY
Yesterday danced with careless light, Tomorrow glows just out of sight. Between the two, I learned somehow, Life only asks me to live right now. Growing up was never grand, It slipped away like grains of sand. Dreams grew heavier, hearts grew wise, Truth wore tears instead of disguise. Growing up is a bittersweet song, Knowing what's right while getting it wrong. You lose some people, you lose some dreams, Nothing is ever quite as it seems. Yet every goodbye, every fall, Teaches the heart to stand through it all. So if tomorrow calls my name, I'll walk ahead, though not the same. For every ending helps me see— Yesterday shaped tomorrow's me.
