In the grey

CC BY-ND
I am here So why can't you let me in I wait So why do you push me away I listen So why do you stop telling me All these things I promise to you I've always meant But the things you've promised me you've always forgotten Your words flow through me like sweet sounds of spring My words come in and the next second they're shut out like the winter cold I show you time and time again how much you mean to me How you make me yarn for your company Crave the feeling of your eyes on me But you treat me like I'm just there Like you don't know that the only thing running through my mind is your every move You know me better than anyone else Yet we are here Telling each other just enough to keep wondering And never to be fully aware I'm always guessing with you Wondering what you'll say today For maybe today will be the day you fully let me in Or maybe today will just be the day I chose to except you leaving me in the grey
