incandescent buzz

imagine

being trapped

in a lamp

circular

glowing

glass

sphere

surrounded by dead

bodies

it's your fault you ended up here

but you were lured

like them

by the intoxicating

incandescent buzz

imagine when

the buzz goes quiet

and you are left

in a dark

glass circle

and you feel yourself stop scaling

transparent walls

and sink into a pile

of dead bodies

imagine being trapped in a lamp

surrounded by dead bodies

and we are not kind to them

i'm not making a metaphor for the life of a human

i'm saying the life of a fly is unfair

that they can die this way

for us to stare

at a glass circle

which does not glow

accumulating flies
