Inconceivable
From the dawn of Time,
To the end of our days.
One thing stands strong:
Watching, waiting, observing, converging.
It's hard to grasp, this thing of mine,
defying all my attempts to conceive an image.
Yet, I can't deny, I must have it to survive,
For without it I would die eternal
Once my days on this earth are over.
Reaching out, He picks me up,
He carries me through the trouble.
He comforts me, though I fail to know how,
Or why until after the peril has passed.
He saved me from myself,
From the evil that sleeps within
Awaiting its chance to surface;
It continuously connives, and thrives on
My deepest, darkest fears.
Yet, even in the face of this evil,
He stands strong.
I am wrapped in His embrace,
Sheltered by His mighty hand.
He protects me, prepares me,
Though I can do nothing to repay Him,
He loves me.
The Inconceivable One has everything for me,
Without him I would be truly alone;
He knows all my ways,
But understand Him, I cannot.
The Lord Almighty is the one thing
I could never give up.
He is for me, even when I am against myself.
