Inconsolable

It's the middle of the night,

sobbing in her sleep

water dripping down on her pillow

little did she know

the dark side of her

resurfacing

wakes up,

burst into tears

her heart never felt this heavy

this infinite void

her hollow way of life

rendering her powerless

the lies are now her truth,

it's wintertime

in a dark forest

leaves falling from the trees

icy breeze, steady rainfall

longer nights with frost everywhere
