"Increase The Peace" (In honor of Black History Month 2015)
I have a dream that one day the world won't be so cold, a dream in which we cherish our young and respect our old. A dream that goes far beyond what we call the here and now, a dream that reflects his dream; one that makes Dr. King proud. A dream that speaks when no one else can, a dream that doesn't see the tone of skin, but rather the conduct in a woman or a man. A dream to loud to go unheard, a dream too stong to ever be deferred. A dream too big to go unseen, and a dream too powerful not to heal and set free.
Increase The Peace is what what my heart screams with no hesitation. My soul bleeds for the Trayvon Martins' and Michael Browns' being taken away from my own generation. Increase the peace within these national walls, fore at the end of the day what does one fists to another fists really solve? My mind aches and my heart breaks to see one man fight another man; one woman fight another woman over petty things that don't hold the gleam of importance, now I only witness a dream that goes unnoticed. What happend in the peace that lied within each protest? The gratitude to those who fought for you and me to simply sit in a desk and take a test? What happened to the dream that once seemed do far away? Fore now that it is here, we have allowed it to go astray.
Increase The Peace fore it has surpassed all barriers before, no longer take on the stigma of a pigeon but rather be as an eagal and sore. Increase The Peace, and create change in a life saving way, let someone say that you were the reason why they made it through another day. Go after a future, be bold and courageous- do better than what's already been. Dare to be different , you're a natural born leader whose purposed to begin a new trend. Making a journey starts with taking one step and believing in what you ain to reach, so take control, and take the higher road in continuing to Increse The Peace.
