Indecision


I would very much like to kiss you, Or so I might think. But the faculties of my mind, Only permit the will to blink. I feel I lack the intangible, That I believe you seek. You are dear to me, Of that I can agree. But anything more than friendship, I cannot speak for. I am ambivalent, With myself. The other night, when I looked at you, I very nearly returned what you gave, On you lips. And in regret and uncertainty, I recall, How I did nothing at all. *sigh…* And should I ever make sense, Let me say, that I would Hate for things between us to diffuse, All because, I wasn't ready to be with you.
