Indecisive
Every day I find myself endlessly thinking.
Disposable thoughts like
Unconnected temporary pieces of clarity
Drifting in star-crossed emptiness
Nothing stays concrete.
So I continue running in perpetual circles.
Scattered thoughts never ceasing,
As I become more absent-minded by the second
I yearn to break free from the inescapable cycle of dullness.
But I don’t know how
I am anchored by some made-up dissatisfaction.
Like some essential bolt in my head came l o o s e
And fell off
The days fleet by in a restless haze.
I hear the slow rip of my own sanity.
But I can’t give someone the satisfaction of watching me
Suffer.
Every day I find myself building endless empires of
Hopes and dreams in my head,
only to be abandoned and forgotten in
the face of reality.
The idea of the future
Both fascinates and frightens me at the same time.
And for that
I curse the capricious mind.
