Indefinable

How many times have I tried

To find the meaning of me?

Not the reason for my existence

But who I am personally

It seems that I’m never

One or the other

Not like my dad

And not like my mother

Outgoing but shy

Active but lazy

Funny but serious

Calm but crazy

I’m much too complex

I’m too hard to define

I’m not like anyone or anything

I’m one of a kind

So go on ahead

And try to figure me out

Look me up in the dictionary

And see what I’m all about

But do not be distressed

If it seems you’re incapable

It’s not you; it’s me

I am indefinable.
