Independence

Ever since

I had a coherent thought

I wanted to do things on my own.

Go on adventures, explore new cultures,

Go travel and learn about the world through Art.

And Music.

And Food.

So when others do not understand

My endeavors and hold me back.  It

Claws at the core of

My being and attempts to crush that

Independence which I hold so deeply,

In order that others can never take it from me.
