Independence

When everything you know

Is different

Plans change, and dreams

Shatter and fall

No one seems to understand

Your situation

Stand with your feet apart

And look up to the sky

There's hope somewhere

Friends and family may turn

Their backs away

They have ideas

For your future

No one seems to know that  you

Have grown up now too

It's not always easy

You've had your mistakes

And falls, they've pushed you down

But this time it's different, so

Stand with your feet apart

And look up to the sky

There's hope somewhere

Stand tall and proud

You're wise and strong

Show them now

Show them all

You create your own path

You're independent

You're independent.
