Independence

People think independence is being free

Freedom from parents

Free to follow your dream

Freedom to embrace the present

But independence is the opposite

Full of responsibility and issues

Full of people struggling to profit

Causing people to cry and use alot of tissues

Kids await this fate

Thinking it is wonderful

But are shocked when it's not great

Making their outlook go from cheerful to fearful

Education

First independent thing kids tackle

They have to decide their future before graduation

But some fail and crackle

Bills

After education comes the rest

With mountains and hills

Bills and bills and bills that pile upon your chest

Independence is not everything

It is hard and stressful as you've seen

So wait a little before this beating

Be happy with today, it will be gone when you turn eighteen
