Indifference Is Gold
I put on a mask of feelings
And connected with others on the surface
But always tried to remember
That they were not really there
They were transparent
Wannabes
Fighting for a place in my life
But not really
A real friend did not exist
Not now, not ever
And although I slipped into the perilous world of Care For Others
I'm home now
Home sweet home- back to my solidarity
Where the indifference is gold
