Indigo Artichoke Blossoms

I write my poems when I smell the indigo artichoke blossoms in my backyard,

I write my poems when my family sits outside strumming guitars,

I write my poems when I'm suspended, dry, above the water, curled up in a cannon ball,

I write my poems when I watch the people pass by in a busy city,

I write my poems when I taste a new and exotic food,

But I don't write them in words.
