An Individual

Roses are red

Violets are blue

It’s the clichés that cause the problem.

                                    See,

Some roses are white.

They can be of a pinker shade

Or modified to display a variety of colors.

                                    Just the same,

Violets can be purple

And freckled

And uniquely created with patterns unlike any other.

The clichés of nature

The stereotypes of humans

Serve as an injustice to the individual.

I am strong,

yet intelligent.

I am sensitive,

yet intense.

I am not bound by a title,

nor fixed image.

I am an original.

I am a classic.

I do not wear a filter.
