Individuality

Independent at a young age

Had to realize it wasn’t just a phase

Two paths to choose from

The streets or education

Different versions of myself all to get to where I’m at

Heading towards what I want to become

The best version of myself possible

Double identity-- myself and my twin

Who I am and who I want to be

But who am I and who is she?

The unknown sense of self

Seeing new experiences through different lenses

At the end, I am heading to where I’m supposed to be

Growing up is more than just a phase

It’s continuous

Reaching a level of comfort

I will never know

Growth I try to achieve

Day in and day out

Although I am grown up

A piece of my childhood still remains

The trauma and life experiences

Have made me this way
