Inebriated Blur

I do not ever want to be

        The reckless driver heading home

Drinking a beer with all the foam

Drinking, not one, not two, but three

I do not ever hope to see

The helpless victim on their way

Who will not get another day

Forever is their soul set free

Nor, do I want to feel empty

From the loss of the ones I love

As I weep in memory of

The ones who pointlessly left me

Thus listen to me when I say

That one night of stupid action

Is not worth the chain reaction

Of taking someone's heart away
