INEVITABLE

The flame shimmers

To bright, dim.

White and yellow. Will it survive?

The wind slippery and furtive

The flame cries, back and forth.

Flapping----goodby----help?

Out!-------------Recoil!

Just a glow.

Smoke ripples. It's GONE!

NO! Almost sorcerous-------acerbic smells.

Covert!

Quickening and life bursts.

The end fateful.

Life retreats.

Life force dissolves

Never to return.
