Inevitable Circumstance
Fearing the fall that is so close
Digging into flesh that will not give
Drawing blood in the course of battle
For my heart has been shattered once before
And it is not willing to leave so soon
Knowing that the light is not always a beacon of hope
Thinking that the darkness holds an inkling of truth
Hoping that my trust is not misplaced
For my heart can been shattered yet again
And it is not willing to meet its doom
Wondering how I could be so blind
Fighting the end that is so near
Crying over inevitable circumstance
For my heart cannot be put back together
And it has left, in order to be far from you
