Inevitably (The Push)

Why can't you just throw me down, Make me skin my knees? I'll get back up and watch them bleed. Two hands full of tears, I'll bandage my heart, And stand faced towards my fears. You're restless and reckless, And baby we all have needs. You keep forgetting, you're breaking me. You were shaking me.. It's breaking me. It's not a take your time sort of thing. You must mean what you mean And say these things! My heart, it's not some toy on a string, So you cannot keep hanging me! My feet are dangling, while I'm struggling, Fighting to steady things. It's exhausting. Inevitably, it's breaking me! So my dear, I am asking you.. Are you catching me or will I skin my knees, Just left here to bleed? It's so simple, really, Say what you mean.. Don't change anything.
