Inferno

They say I’m unneeded

Dirt by their feet

But I’m just a girl waiting to leave

The world shakes

Trembling with furry

At all the fools speaking for glory

Slander and hate

Strive for the seat

‘Cause I’m not waiting for others to love me

Say what you will

I’ll listen to your plea

Your attention seeking ways may kill me

You feel like background noise

A need to be turned up

But your voice leaves me dead on my feet

Slandering others

I’m down on my knees

Weeping for all the time your words hurt me

You couldn’t stop there

People cheering you on

The need for more stinging strong

To say they hate me

Loath to admit

You’re probably right, I’m not an average

Continue on

Work to kill me

Who says guilt will settle when you bury me

Cold and white

I shudder to think

When I meet you again, Heaven or Hell it be

Words led me

Now let me lead you

Into an inferno for eternity
