Influence Upon Another.

How may we ever progress

If those who we know and love

Keep us back?

How may we ever progress

If our friends and colleagues

Talk of education as a shortcoming?

How may we ever go forward

If our parents and life long mentors

Don't encourage us better,

but live their lives through us?

How may we ever go forward

If a true mentor is hard to come by

After all, they don't grow on trees.

How may we ever get better

If the ones who we know and love

And the ones who we have depended on so

No longer support us

How else can we get better?
