Inhale
Inspiration surrounding me found within me.
In everything we see and cannot see.
It is in the simple things I experience, sense,
And I feel my soul soaking them all up... I inhale
The beautiful colors from the morning sunrise to the star-lit sky.
The laughter shared with friends, to the silence filling an empty room.
The symphony of falling rain, the warmth of the sun's rays.
The fresh morning breeze and feeling soft snow melting beneath my feet.
The smile of a stranger, the tears shared with a friend.
A kiss in the moonlight, dancing under the stars.
A walk through the woods, wondering, deep in thought.
The sound of crashing waves felt beneath a canvas painted sky.
The sun begins to set on the day I reflect on my life:
The sights and sounds of all the wonderful things create in me an inspiration
As though I’m on the outside looking in.
I inhale these simple things cherishing them deeply.
For they teach me. I grow.
It is through this inspiration that I write with passion from my heart.
I discover, of myself, both the most beautiful and darkest parts.
And in these moments,
Within these days, I discovered my purpose, my hope, my destiny,
I wonder, I wish, and I write.
I connect with the world as we relate,
for the sun understands my joy, while the rain empathizes with my brokenness.
The darkness sees my tears while the single star lighting the dark sky inspires
Just as the hope I hold close lights my life.
I discover how I feel, learn the thoughts I conceive, things I believe
as well as the emotions I have worked long to conceal
For through my inspiration
I find my hope, my purpose, my passions.
I discover a deeper meaning.
I exhale,
finding my inspiration as easily as one breathes.
