injustice

to my peers

filled with fear

walking home with alot of tears

thinking that if he can walk home with no weapon and get shot

then so can I

how can I hide

knowing that I am young and black

how can I let this fear subside

my dear ancestors hung because of race

now I can be shot because of race

once I step on to these streets

thats when the heat begins to boil

and I become less than the soil that so many people walk over

I am expected to be an uneducated fool

and try to just be cool

I do not want to be just an expectancy

I want to be above the  average person

I can be the best black person

and still be allienated by the herd

so as far as being heard

the chances are very slim

we are the future

its not justice

its just us

its all up to you to make a change

There was a dream

now lets make it a reality

the fight is not over.

I am Trayvon Martin
