Ink
Tangled thoughts block out the flickering fluorescent light
Creeping towards my neck the snakes whisper SSSILENCE SSSILENCE
My screams cannot be heard because I don’t dare make a noise
My right hand slips into my pocket for something sharp but I can only find a pen
I write words on the serpents
Big words for my big thoughts
Their scales stretch into lines and notes of blue ink
Their whispers evolve into an orchestra
Blue string fuels the instruments as the melody echoes
My tangled thoughts unwound into notes of gold that float through the air
Incoming rays reflect off of flecks of the light metal
Projected is a voice
Powered by blue vocal chords wet with ink
