Ink

They say inspiration can be found in the most unlikely places

and I’ve found this to be true

Places where,

to the naked eye,

there is nothing but mundane occurrences and boring simplicity.

One could say the homework dropped in a puddle is garbage.

No longer worth my trouble.

But oh,

they do not see how it has become art.

The inky streaks of black and red mingle together in an entrancing pattern.

Ink that once made up my words and corrections has been transformed.

Colors swirling together to form an intricate map.

A map I do not yet know how to read.

They may say it was ruined by the water,

but it has been given new life.

A life meant to inspire those who wish to be inspired.
