Ink and Paper

Ink and paper. Such simple items we use in our humdrum life.

Who knew they could create such wonders.

Different worlds are created on ink and paper.

Perceptions of reality, alternate universes

fairies, unicorns, knights in shining armor rescuing their damsels

aliens, monsters ghosts all fabricated in hundreds of pieces of paper,

wrapped in their book bindings.'Walking amoungst a bookstore,

with the most infinite of realities recorded into shoddy pages of yellow paper.

Ink and paper: These two simple objects can make a person laugh, cry, rejoice, and scream.

They can inspire us to climb mountains, or hide amoungs the hills.

They can take us on an adventure, without leaving the comfort of our own homes.

We seek different worlds because we are able,

Ink and paper, just lying on the table.
