Ink Current
Poetry gave me the outlet to let my heart out,
leadin' to a spark from my mind that could transcend time.
Jottin' ideas down on paper gave me somethin' to savor
in a world with no taste, but full of hate
which muffled its creativity, so all I heard was silence
'til I started slammin' and rhymin'-beautiful things- I can write 'em.
This current still runs in waves in all that I see.
Inspiration from a beach comin' to meet me.
And from me to he; and from he to she; And from she to we,
poetry opens up all the possibilities of just what could be.
All from the spark of a current; it's electricity.
