Inkblot Words

As the sun sets,

The weight of the day

Can no longer rest upon my shoulders

Carefully boxed sentiments

Stored quietly in our minds

Remain only to destroy contentment

I pick up a pen,

A crisp sheet of paper

I begin to scribble away

Words flow

Inkblot thoughts splattering

Onto my paper in flourishes

Drips and drops of ink

Painted onto my paper canvas

Surrendering feeling from within

Moved by the most austere—

An educator, the finest

He was known as Killelea

Encouraging words

Genuine and demanding

Spoke of my pen’s happy hunt

Follow this talent.

See this through.

Write for yourself.

Write for whomever.

Just… do.
